Putting People First
To us investing in people means so much more than technical training and leadership development. It means using our resources for the good of our teammates and their families both inside and outside of work. But it doesn’t stop there.
This core belief – that people matter most – drives everything we do and every decision we make. This includes finding ways to go beyond software with our time, talents and resources, giving back to the local and global community.
Impacting People in the Dominican Republic
BTI360’s relationship with Dominican Republic began in 2009 with the sponsorship of a Child Survival Program (CSP) in the neighborhood of Gualey. This partnership has expanded to include child sponsorships, a home for an at risk family, and a water project that will deliver clean and affordable water to an entire neighborhood.
In April of this year, a team from BTI360 traveled to Santo Domingo to serve our friends there. The purpose of this trip, like the three before it, was to grow our relationships with our Dominican friends and with each other.
New to this trip was the inclusion of four “friends of BTI360” who were interested in learning more about building their own serving culture at their companies and making their own corporate investments in giving back.
A Story Through the Eyes of a Young Dominican Woman
The below video tells the story of the trip this past April through the eyes of a young Dominican woman who grew up through Compassion’s Child Sponsorship Program and is now studying to be a doctor. You’ll get to meet her at the end 😉
We also want to thank our friend Brad Hill for joining us on the journey this year, to capture this story through video, and for his passion to help his company cultivate a culture of paying it forward.
